All students must apply for on-campus positions with the Student Employment Center (SEC). The SEC will verify that the applicant is enrolled in 6 or more hours as a Georgia Southern student after the student candidate selected for hire is offered a position. Candidates not meeting eligibility requirements for on-campus employment will be notified via their status queue in the online application system by logging in with their username and password.

Students will be required to submit a resume and application for employment. Resumes are required for all student employment positions. Once an application is created in our job postings site a student does not need to create another application; they may edit their application prior to applying for each position. Resumes must be uploaded with each position application.

Departments will set up interviews with individual students. Students applying for work-study positions must bring their work-study authorization form as a required document to the SEC office.

Once a student is selected, they should be provided the hiring information sheet from the hiring department so they may begin the paperwork processing to finalize employment. This form must be brought to HR at the time of in-processing of hiring paperwork.

Students may check their status in a candidate pool with their online username and password set up on the career site for Georgia Southern University. Students are encouraged to continue checking the job postings for positions of interest.
