Compensation and Classification
Georgia Southern University recognizes that fair and just compensation must be the cornerstone to hiring and retaining quality, competent, and caring employees who will foster an atmosphere conducive to teaching and learning. The Department of Human Resources desires to "recruit and retain an exemplary and diverse workforce" and to "develop and administer an effective compensation and benefits program" in order to support the mission and to affirm the values of the University.
As outlined in the Strategic Plan three major goals that directly impact the Department of Human Resources are:
