The Department of Human Resources offers hiring managers the opportunity to hire temporary employees from diverse temporary staffing pools. Temporary staffing pools are designed to provide immediate solutions to temporary staffing needs. Staff members from HR organize and maintain temporary staffing pools for various positions and provide documentation of top candidates to the hiring manager whenever a need is identified.
Georgia Work$ Program
Georgia Work$ (GW$) is a Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) initiative designed to stimulate job growth in Georgia. Commissioner Michael Thurmond developed this innovative project in response to Georgia’s growing job loss.
GW$ allows unemployed job seekers who have registered for employment services with the GDOL to receive workplace training from a potential employer for a maximum of 24 hours per week for up to eight weeks.
