The office of Classification and Compensation coordinates the university’s staff job-classification process. The Class/Comp office can assists departments with:
- Establishment of new staff positions
- Reclassification of existing positions
- Update position descriptions on occupied or vacant positions
- Provide an analysis or recommendation on compensation ranges
- Establish career paths
- Conduct Desk Audit
- Coordinate the university’s participation in comparative external market salary surveys
- Review and approve salary and equity adjustments
- Develop job specifications for staff positions
- Maintain FLSA designations
