Annual Performance Evaluations
All full-time Georgia Southern Staff will be evaluated annually on their work performance. Performance evaluations should be used for supervisors and employees to further communicate about performance, as well as set goals, expectations and development opportunities for the coming year.
Position Description Review
As part of the annual performance evaluation process, employees and supervisors will review the current position description. To read more about Position Description Reviews, click here. If you or your supervisor do not have a copy of the changes to your position description submitted last year, please have your supervisor submit a request for a copy to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The timeline for evaluations is as follows:
|January 1, 2020-December 31, 2020||Time period evaluated|
|January 4, 2021 – January 29, 2021||Employee self evaluations and position description review|
|January 22, 2021 – February 22, 2021||Supervisor evaluations/review of position descriptions and evaluation meetings|
|February 26, 2021||Completed and signed evaluations and position descriptions submitted to HR through a MyHelp Ticket or by emailing email@example.com|

Staff will be evaluated on the following core competencies:

In order to engage employees at all levels in the University’s Performance Excellence strategies, each competency is linked to Georgia Southern’s six values. Additionally, the goals set for the coming year should connect directly to one or more of these core values.
