Fitness Assessment Lab

Determine your fitness level, track your progress, set goals and evaluate your risk of cardiovascular disease through a professional fitness assessment. The Fitness Assessment Lab in the RAC is designed to help you understand your body and what exercise is right for you.

Assessments take approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

Schedule an Assessment

  • Baseline Values: resting heart rate, blood pressure, height and weight
  • Body Composition: 3-site skinfold, bioelectrical impedance analysis, waist-to-hip ratio
  • Cardiovascular Fitness: 3-minute step test
  • Muscular Fitness: push-up test, half sit-up test
  • Flexibility: reach over shoulder test, modified sit and reach test

Get in faster, smarter workouts with EGYM machines at The RAC’s Fitness Center. Using the EGYM Fitness app, EGYM machines will automatically adjust to your size and fitness preferences with complimentary tracking and performance measurement features.

EGYM is smart fitness technology that makes workouts easier and tailored just for you! The RAC’s EGYM circuit features a Fitness Hub for onboarding and smart strength machines for upper body and lower body training.

Download the EGYM Fitness app to create your free account. Use the facility code georgiasouthernuniversity and use your school email address for account. With your Training Floor Pass added to your phone’s digital wallet, you can tap your phone to any EGYM machine to start your personalized workout!

You can use the EGYM Fitness app to set fitness goals and monitor your performance. You can also use the EGYM Fitness App to get your Training Floor Pass, which allows you to use your account data to automatically adjust EGYM machines. When you tap your Training Floor Pass to an EGYM machine, the EGYM Fitness App tracks your progress so you can meet your fitness goals!

EGYM Genius is a feature in the EGYM Fitness App that uses fitness data to create a personalized workout plan using equipment you’ll find in The RAC’s Fitness Center! Once you have used four different EGYM machines, you can create an EGYM Genius Plan just for you! Your EGYM Genius Plan will provide specific recommendations for workouts on specific equipment, and you can make adjustments to these recommendations to fit your comfort level.

Each EGYM machine has a red emergency stop button. This button should only be pressed in an emergency situation. If you need to quit a workout early before your workout is complete, tap the exit button on your EGYM machine’s screen.

Yes! EGYM is completely free at The RAC, so please enjoy everything EGYM has to offer.

You can ask any Fitness Center staff member or Personal Trainer for assistance with EGYM machines or with the EGYM Fitness app. A Personal Trainer can also help you with the onboarding process!
