The Associate Provost for Academic Strategy, Engagement & Innovation fosters collaboration and implements novel approaches within academic affairs. McKay collaborates extensively across all colleges and divisions to foster innovation.
Dr. Britton McKay earned her Ph.D. in accounting from Southern Illinois University in 2007 and joined the faculty of Georgia Southern University in the School of Accountancy. She earned tenure in 2013 and promoted to full professor in 2018. McKay has authored/co-authored over 20 publications in journals including Journal of Information Systems, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Journal of Taxation and Journal of Accountancy. In 2020 she moved into administration, serving as Associate Dean of the Parker College of Business from 2020-2025 and as interim Dean for a period of time. In 2026 she joined the Provost leadership team as Associate Provost for Academic Strategy, Engagement & Innovation.
