
Several departments at Georgia Southern University have teamed up to host the Georgia International Conference on Information Literacy at the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah, Georgia, on Sept. 15-16.

Georgia Southern University’s Division of Continuing Education will host the sixth annual Rural HIV Research and Training conference at the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah, Georgia, Sept. 8-9.

The Georgia Southern University Counseling Center’s Doctoral Internship in Professional Health Service Psychology has been granted full accreditation by the American Psychological Association (APA) for the next eight years and is one of only a few Counseling Centers in the Southeast to receive this title.

Georgia Southern University alumnus Robert “Bob” Mikell (‘07), eighth generation Bulloch County resident and 2017 Alumnus of the Year for the University’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, will serve as the community chair of the University’s 44th annual community A Day for Southern campaign Sept. 6-11. The official donation total will be announced on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
