About Greek Life at GSU
Fraternity and sorority life at Georgia Southern exists to enhance student development by fostering leadership, civic engagement, brotherhood and sisterhood, and academic success.
In particular, we aim to promote intellectual growth and excellence through recruiting quality students and offering programming, support, and recognition for high achievement.
The lifelong bonds formed within our chapters also encourage students in a variety of leadership pursuits, from compassionate civic engagement and local outreach to peer accountability—all designed to maximize personal growth and community life.

We hold our students to a high standard and take seriously our shared responsibility to provide a safe and encouraging environment. To that end we provide accountability and transparency into infractions by fraternities and sororities. Infractions are posted only if a student organization is found responsible after appropriate due process procedures, if the chapter falls under academic probation, or if the chapter is placed on interim suspension by their national organization or the university.
