Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art hosts online exhibition ‘Juried 2020’
The Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) is hosting its annual juried student exhibitions this spring, but for the first time they will appear online. The second of three exhibitions, “Undergraduate Juried 2020,” features student work from students enrolled in BFSDoArt undergraduate classes at any level. The exhibition is available to view online through April 24.

Appleton’s research in botany and floral evolution were recognized this year when she was named a Goldwater Scholar, the highest national award for undergraduate students in the STEM majors.

Georgia Southern aquaponics farm on Armstrong Campus donating produce during COVID-19 pandemic
Sustainability is at the forefront of the FORAM Sustainable Aquaponics Research Center (SARC) on the Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus, even during a pandemic. SARC recently donated produce grown at the aquaponics farm on campus to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. Donations like this, as well as other community service projects, are a large part of SARC’s mission.
