The Georgia Southern University Department of Information Technology (IT) is hosting TekLAN 46 Friday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. throughout the IT building. Put on each semester by IT students, the event includes gaming, board games, movies, coding and networking, both on the computer and socially.

Georgia Southern University Center for Applied Cyber Education has signed an Education Partnership Agreement with the 688th Cyberspace Wing. The partnership with the Air Force cyberspace organization, which is responsible for defending Air Force cyber assets and strengthening the nation’s ability to withstand and respond to cyber attacks, offers unique research and educational opportunities for Georgia Southern’s students and faculty.
Two members of the Georgia Southern University Office of Leadership and Community Engagement staff, Urkovia Andrews, Dr.P.H., assistant director for service-learning, and Jordan Wilburn, coordinator for community engagement, were recognized at the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority’s (DSDA) annual meeting and Brick Awards. Wilburn was acknowledged for providing the DSDA with Georgia Southern student volunteers who connect, serve and lead.
