Florida Atlantic has postponed its football game against Georgia Southern Saturday in Statesboro.
On Sept. 24, Frank Katz, director of the Center for Applied Cyber Education at Georgia Southern, will represent the University at Jack Voltaic 3.0, the first all-virtual cyber exercise hosted by the Army Cyber Institute. The exercise will simulate a cyber attack in Savannah, and Katz will observe the participants’ decisions during the attack to help better educate his cyber security students on what to do in similar scenarios.

In celebration of the life of former U.S. Rep. John Lewis, Georgia Southern University’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, Office of Leadership and Community Engagement, Sustainability Programs and University Libraries will host two free outdoor screenings of “Good Trouble,” on Sept. 30 on the Statesboro and Savannah campuses. The events will also serve as vehicles to register new voters by the Oct. 5 deadline in Georgia.
