Jessica Armstrong, a Georgia Southern University graduate and Army veteran, has pursued her passion for helping others through a career path combining her military background and aspirations in law. Driven by a desire to advocate for soldiers navigating legal and disciplinary challenges, Armstrong plans to attend law school to specialize in military law while balancing her roles as a mother and community supporter.

For spring graduates Dale and Alex Paulk, friends and fun are top of the list of things they have enjoyed about their time in EAGLE Academy at Georgia Southern University. Dale, 20, and Alex, 22, are brothers who crossed the commencement stage during the University’s spring commencement ceremonies to commemorate earning their certificates from EAGLE Academy, Georgia Southern’s post-secondary, two-year inclusive program for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Special education graduate carries second-grade lessons, Georgia Southern studies to her first classroom in August

A primary school teacher inspired Alexandra Jensen with the power of personalized attention in learning. Now, as she begins her teaching career in August, she aims to continue this approach. In May, the Hinesville native graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s in special education, a minor in psychology, and an ESOL Endorsement.

With excitement, Cassidy earned a bachelor’s in communication sciences and disorders and a minor in human development and family science from Georgia Southern University last week.
