In her current role as the coordinator of injury prevention and care at Campus Recreation and Intramurals (CRI) at Georgia Southern University, she spends her time evaluating, diagnosing and treating patients who visit the clinic.

Following his final wrestling match at Forsyth Central High School, Nathan Kistler left the mat with a newfound vision — to become a coach and teacher and provide the same mentorship that he received throughout school. Yet, as a new student at Georgia Southern University, Kistler chose to study business.

Marshall, DrPH, and Joseph Telfair, DrPH, of the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health at Georgia Southern University have received a 2020-25 U.S. Department of Health Resources and Service Administration grant valued at $3.25 million to support the Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students program. Each year, $650,000 will be available to offer scholarships to qualifying students who wish to pursue a Master of Public Health or Doctor of Public Health at Georgia Southern.
