Diverse exhibit to showcase Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus seniors’ art
Soft sculptures, ceramics, fiber design, multimedia installation and photography will be on display for “The Art of Feeling,” presented by the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art on the Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus. The exhibit will showcase the terminal work of five graduating art students: Jacqueline Claros, Brione Daniels, Chance Everett, Christine Freeman and Blair Perry.

Georgia Southern master’s student creates thesis exhibition by rolling the dice
Turning fantasy into reality, Georgia Southern University art student Zak Kelley used Dungeons and Dragons to help shape his MFA thesis exhibition titled “Neo_Fluxus and Dragons.” His work will be on display from March 28 to April 1 at the Center for Art and Theatre’s University Gallery on the Statesboro Campus, with a reception to be held on March 29 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Georgia Southern University history students are engaging their survey and mapping skills by conducting field work at various locations around Savannah. The work is part of a maritime archaeology class taught by Kurt Knoerl, Ph.D., R.P.A., on the Armstrong Campus.
Georgia Southern Art Department partners with Chautauqua School of Art in New York
The Georgia Southern University Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art (BFSDoArt) will be partnering with the Chautauqua School of Art in New York. Joining other Chautauqua partner schools such as Marshall University, the School of Visual Arts and the Pratt Institute, the partnership will bring mutual benefits to both Georgia Southern and Chautauqua.
Georgia Southern music alumnus returns to Statesboro Campus for performance of ‘Legally Blonde, the Musical’
Award-winning trombonist and Georgia Southern University alumnus Eric Spencer will be back on campus March 4 as a member of the orchestra during a performance of “Legally Blonde, the Musical.” The show will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center on the Statesboro Campus.
Savannah Wind Symphony presents 41st annual spring concert on Armstrong Campus
The Savannah Wind Symphony will hold its annual spring concert on the Georgia Southern Armstrong Campus in Savannah on Tuesday, March 5. The 41st spring concert will feature works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Kenneth Hesketh, Julie Giroux and Rossano Galante.
Classical and jazz pianist virtuosos join for Piano in the Arts concert on Georgia Southern’s Armstrong Campus
Renowned classical pianist Benjamin Warsaw, DMA, assistant professor of music on Georgia Southern’s Armstrong Campus, and jazz pianist virtuoso, Joe Alterman, will join for a mixed-genre Piano in the Arts concert series performance, “Crossroads, Jazz Meets Classical.” The event will be held on March 3 at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah.

Georgia Southern University’s Senior Art Exhibition, “Reflections,” featuring pieces by five senior artists, will run from March 11 to 22 at the Fine Arts Gallery on the Armstrong Campus in Savannah. A reception will be held on March 15 at 5:30 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public.
Student directed black box show ‘Bright Ideas’ comes to Armstrong Campus
Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus’ student-run theatre group, The Masquers are bringing dark comedy “Bright Ideas” to the Armstrong Campus for its final black box show of the season. The show will run from Thursday, Feb. 21 to Saturday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. at the Black Box Theatre in Jenkins Hall.
