Joy Harden (’98) was among a group of almost 400 band directors who gathered from across the country as well as Canada, Mexico and Panama to perform in unison for this year’s “Banding Together” float in the 2026 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.

Founded in 1933, Georgia Southern’s Alumni Association’s Board of Directors is made up of alumni volunteers who are leaders in their communities and who have given tirelessly of their time in order to promote Georgia Southern.

Georgia Southern music alumnus returns to Statesboro Campus for performance of ‘Legally Blonde, the Musical’
Award-winning trombonist and Georgia Southern University alumnus Eric Spencer will be back on campus March 4 as a member of the orchestra during a performance of “Legally Blonde, the Musical.” The show will start at 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center on the Statesboro Campus.
